What is it?
Camp Westminster’s internship program is designed to expose young adults to the many facets of Christian camp ministry, while encouraging them in their walk with Christ through mentoring and discipleship. Camp Westminster offers full time, paid internships that cover 12 months. Participants will serve in all departments that exist at Camp Westminster in order to gain an understanding of the full camp ministry experience, including: programming, guest services, marketing, and facilities maintenance.

Specific Responsibilities

Help plan programs

Brainstorm new program ideas.

Assist in developing summer activity curriculum.

Manage/oversee designated summer camp programs

Assist in teaching or leading an activity, as assigned.

Set a good example for counselors.

Host weekend retreat groups
-
Prepare and clean facilities for retreat group arrivals

Provide camp tours for visitors

Assist with social media posts and other marketing efforts as needed

Assist Camp Director with tasks when needed

Assist Director of Operations with feeding horses, mowing, camp grounds upkeep and other tasks when needed.

Assist Office Administrator with tasks when needed.

Work in the kitchen/dish pit.

Assist campers/staff in emergency procedures such as fire drills, evacuating the cabin, etc.

Submit all required reports on time.

These are not the only duties to be performed. Some duties may be reassigned and other duties may be assigned as required.
Desired Qualifications

Strong personal relationship and walk with Jesus Christ.

Commitment to Camp Westminster’s mission statement.

Single, college graduate, 21-25 until the end of the internship term.

Positive interpersonal skills to relate well with co-workers, supervisors and guests.

A strong love for and desire to work with children and youth.

Desire and ability to work outdoors.

Ability to accept guidance and supervision; teachability.

Good character, integrity, and adaptability.

Available to work long and varied hours, and weekends.

First aid certifications preferred.
